CETS CODE OF ETHICS
It is the policy of CETS to provide our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct policy, which will serve as a guide to proper business conduct for all directors and employees. We expect all Directors and employees to observe the highest standards of ethics and integrity in their conduct. This means following a basic code of ethical behaviour that includes the following stated below.
Respect for the Individual: We all deserve to work in an environment where we are treated with dignity and respect. CETS is an equal employment employer and is committed to providing a workplace that is free of discrimination of all types from abusive, foul, offensive or harassing behaviour. (As stated in the CETS Non-Discriminatory Policy). Any employee who feels harassed or discriminated against should report the incident to their manager. Any acts of violence will result in immediate termination of employment.
Build Trust and Credibility: We aim to earn the trust and confidence of our employees, customers, and shareholders. We aim to build credibility by adhering to our commitments, displaying honesty, integrity and reaching company goals through honourable conduct.
Create a Culture of Open and Honest Communication: With respect to ethics concerns everyone at CETS should feel comfortable to speak their mind. Employees must be made feel comfortable raising questions and mangers have a responsibility to create an open and supportive environment. Any reported instances of questionable or unethical behaviour will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken. retaliation against employees who raise ethics concerns in good faith will not be tolerated.
We will sell CETS products and services based on their high quality, functionality and competitive pricing. We will make independent pricing and marketing decisions and will not improperly co-operate or coordinate our activities with CETs competitors. We will not offer or solicit improper payments or gratuities in connection with the purchase of goods or services for CETS or the sales of its products or services. Proprietary Information, we feel there is a great importance of respecting the property rights of others. A competitor’s trade secrets, other proprietary or confidential information will not be acquired by improper means. We won’t engage in unauthorized use, copying, distribution, alteration of software or other types of intellectual property.
Business Conduct to make our Code work, managers will promptly addressing ethical questions or concerns raised by employees and will take the appropriate steps to deal with raised issues. Employees will be encourage to raise ethics concerns and will not be seen by mangers as threats or challenges to their authority. We want the ethics dialogue to become a natural part of daily work. As a commitment to integrity we will comply with laws, rules and regulations where we do business. Further, each of us must understand the company policies, laws, rules and regulations that apply to our specific roles. We are dedicated to ethical, honest, fair, and vigorous competition.
Selective Disclosure Any material non-public information with respect to CETS, its business operations, plans, financial condition, results of operations or any development plan must not be selectively disclosed(whether in one-on-one or small discussions, meetings, presentations, proposals or otherwise).We should be particularly vigilant when making presentations or proposals to customers to ensure that our presentations do not contain material non-public information.
Confidential and proprietary information includes such things as pricing, financial data, customer names/addresses or non-public information about other companies, including current or potential suppliers and vendors. Confidential and non-public information without a valid business or legal purpose and proper authorization will not be disclosed.
Avoid Conflicts of Interest Any activity that might impair, or even appear to impair, our ability to make objective and fair decisions when performing our jobs must be avoided. We must never use CETS property or information for personal gain or personally take for ourselves any opportunity that is discovered through our position with CETS. Employees with a conflict of interest question should seek advice from management. Before engaging in any activity, transaction or relationship that might give rise to a conflict of interest, employees must seek review from their managers or the Human Resources department.
Solicitation of Company employees by non-employees is prohibited by CETS. Solicitation by an employee of another employee is prohibited by us, while either the person does the soliciting, or the person be solicited is on working time and or Company property. Distribution of materials by employees in our work areas or on working time is prohibited by CETS. For us to be able to protect the interests of the CETS network and our fellow employees, we reserve the right to review all data and information contained on an employee’s company-issued electronic device or internet service. We will not tolerate the use of company resources to solicit or send any materials that is considered inappropriate by CETS in any way.
Corporate Recordkeeping, We create, retain and dispose of our company records as part of our normal course of business in compliance with all CETS policies and guidelines, as well as all regulatory and legal requirements. All corporate records must be true, accurate and complete, and company data must be promptly and accurately entered in our books in accordance with CETS’s and other applicable accounting principles. Any auditor engaged to perform an independent audit of CETS books, records, processes or internal controls or audit must not be improperly influenced, manipulated or mislead.
Compliance: Part of our business success is the compliance to these principals. Our companies directors are responsible for ensuring these principles are communicated to and observed by all of our employees. Daily responsibility is delegated to all management members who are responsible for implementing these principles, if necessary, through more guidance. Compliance with the code is subject to review by the Directors and subject to an audit review. Employees are expected to bring to management’s attention any breach or suspected breach of these principles. Provision has been made for employees to be able to report in confidence. Should the Directors be uncertain on what actions should be taken to ensure compliance with this Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, he/she/they will obtain further guidance by consulting with the directors of CETS.
